I admit it, I was butting heads with the Tyranny of Choice at this one. There were so many options, I didn't know where to start, but I am really coming to terms with the idea of doing a study on the roles of non-verbal communication in tutoring, including listening strategies and body language to give cues as to how engaged the parties in a session are, and how tutors can gauge the tutee's preparation for a session, and how barriers can be broken and forged through how we conduct ourselves. A daunting task to be sure, but one I am willing to tussle with...
