I wish I had known that there are a few things that have to come with experience. I really wanted to be perfect for my first session but now I know that is never going to happen, but that is what I love about this job. I also wish that I would have known that it is ok to smile. I am not a professional and I don't have to be an expert; that is why we have reference books in the writing center. I wish I had known how to use them successfully before my first session. I wish I had known that this semester was going to FLY by! I wish I had known that I was going to enjoy being a writing tutor as much as I do!
